dr.olds
Good day all. I recently made a mould to shoot some curly tails for one of my creature baits. Given that the tails will be cool when inserted into the main mould. Is there anything i should be doing to promote a proper join between the two parts. Thanks in advance Noel. Bass-Boys
make sure you body color is good and hot to melt the tail and weld good .
dr.olds
Thanks Jeff. Do you find the body is more prone to dents if you get too hot ? Noel
FATFLATTIE
One thing to also remember is if you make a bunch of tails and let them sit for even a day or two they will get a little oily on the surface and not make a good connection. If you do that just clip a little bit off the tail and you should be fine. It's either that or clean each one with alcohol and that doesn't sound like any fun. I usually just make enough for what I'm making that day.
