mark poulson
Can I use iodized table salt in my soft plastics?
toadfrog
I do . You'll probably here all kinds of B.S. about why you should or shouldn't . But being an old hand on the forum I imagine you got your waders close by .
Walking Dead
Yep, possible. Have to let it cool down some though. The Table salt is a little heavier than the flake and will settle faster. I use the flake but still do some heavier salt. Just have to let it cool to maybe 300, a good stir, load and shoot. just seems to remain spread out in the bait and remain.
alsworms
That's all I used until I discovered popcorn salt, but like Dead said.......it DOES settle a bunch.
mark poulson
Thanks. I was worried that the iodized part might be a problem.
Driftwood
I use natural search salt and put it in a blender to powder it. It stays suspended in the plastic better. That's sea salt.(spell check nailed me again lol.)
Smallie
I have had good luck with Diamond Crystal - The Finer Salt - from the grocery store. Look for the red and white label. It comes both Iodized and non-iodized. It is ground very fine and doesn't settle as bad as others I have used. Best part is the store is five miles from my house.
