Glitter Question

I want to order glitter from Spike It. They have square cut, diagonal cut and string cut. Does anyone have a preference ? The fish probably won't care. Does one show up better than the other ?

So many uses, so many looks, no preference here though I like the larger flakes for most baits I use. Usually mix with the exception of small baits and skirts.

Usually smaller baits get smaller glitter.. User preference  also.That's why it's a custom bait. Make somethin that nobody else has and the rewards are huge!!!!!!!!

I like the square cut for my .035 flake. Anything smaller and I don't really care what shape it is as long as it isn't string cut.

Some people like the string cut, but it's just not appealing to my eye and since I make baits mostly for myself that matters hah. I think you'll be happy with either the square or hex cut flake.

IMHO I don't Use square, it can roll up once it's heated. Hex cut just doesn't do it as bad

I use hexagon cut from spike it & i like it. Sometimes i buy the cheap small  glitter  ( especially gold) at walmart & add it last & microwave for an additional 10 seconds, stir & inject. They say not to microwave, but added last it hasn't been any problem whatsoever for me.  It gives a really nice, but different almost sand coated look  when added with the  .035 hex cut glitter. I have a buddy that has about worn me out making baits like this for him. lol

i use hex for everything except black 062

 

its all personal preference.
