mark poulson
My buddy poured me some 1/2 oz jig using the Eagle Claw 730 BP hooks I bought for him at Barlows, and they are stout! Here's their 30 degree version: http://www.barlowstackle.com/Eagle-Claw-L3886BP-Jig-Hook--P2838.aspx
cadman
The Mustad 32886 is slightly thicker by about (.002-.003) over it's competitor Eagle Claws (3886). When I switched over to EC because of price, I felt the difference in my hands right away. However, in the whole scope of things it is probably irrelevant. Now this was last year, so maybe there diameters are the same now.
sonoman
I have the 32886, it has been fine for me but I use a different set up than some of the guys that have had me build some of my jigs for them, guy keeps rolling them over so I was hoping there was some sort of beast hook I have been missing... Very interesting, let us know how you like them if you decide to get some. Also let us know if they fit Do-It molds.

sonoman
Sorry I forgot to update, they will not not fit the mold without mods, they were simple mods and its exactly the beast I was looking for.
