Roadkill
I'm tying some lead head jigs that need very long hair. 4 inches or longer. The usual sources are not that long even on their "large" tails. Anyone know where I might find it? Of course a reasonable price would help too. JimP
You might consider one of the many synthetic fibers that are on the market. You can get some of them over 12" long. Most will wrap very compactly and are very durable. I bet they will outlast original buck tail.
SW Lures
This is a little late but I'll put it out here anyways. I sent a order out a few months ago with them that long. I even cut some off a few to keep them no more then three inches behind the hook. Don't like short strikes. I got a few from bass pro until my order came in. I got the remainder from jannsnet. I had trouble for awhile myself. I myself don't like using man made materials for some baits, but work in others. It has a tendency to lay out straight out unlike hair. Hope this helps, Dale Edited July 4, 2016 by DaleSW
