feathersandfur2214
What is the thinnest skirt material that is available ? And where can you find it ? I am tossing the idea around of tying a "crappie" style jig with a regular skirt. It will be like a bass jig just smaller. Anyone tried it before ? Painter1
Sure. A Finesse Jig. Try mixing thin silicone with deer hair for a new look.
mark poulson
This is the thinnest I've found: http://fishingskirts.com/fishing-skirts-categories/skirt-making-material/frog-hair-fine-cut-silicone
JLS
I've been tying Crappie jigs with silicone skirt for a while. I've never worried about having the thinnest skirt material as they have plenty of action. You can even force it to have extra pulsation by tying it close to the shoulder! feathersandfur2214
Thanks for the help. And JLS, that is exactly what i am going to start tying for crappie. A flipping jig, just a lot smaller.
Apdriver
Those are very nice, JLS. Thanks for showing them. Bet the crappie like them a lot.
