basscat28
Has anyone tried pouring with either of these using do-it molds or lee melting pots? I have a dealer who carries it by the pound now and I'd like to give it a try. It's ALOT more expensive but it has better vibration one wire baits and it's better for the environment. 21xdc
I poured a bunch of drop shot weights with bismuth for a guy living in Massachusetts where there is a lead ban. It poured really easy, But it was so brittle, It would break easily when I removed the sprues. The guy I sent them to, Said they would break if he hit a dock or bridge piling etc... I would not use it for spinnerbaits or jigs personally.... But I don't have a lead ban here in Michigan.
LimpNoodle
With the Bismuth you wouldn't need or want a Lee pot. Just some hot water.
cadman
If you get the correct % of bismuth and tin, you will have less breakage and better painting capabilities. You must do trial and error to get this, as I cannot give you that info.
