Davet63
I've been considering getting into making my own plastic baits, but want to keep it simple at first. If I melt my broken/torn genuine senkos down to pour, will it maintain the same color and consistency as the original? Or would I have to add anything to it? Thanks, Dave
Jig Man
I've never had anything but a mess trying to melt down plastics that are full of salt.
MonteSS
Yup they bubble and foam as the salt collects moisture
FATFLATTIE
Just need to lay the baits out in front of a fan for a couple days and it'll dry out eventually. However, you will have to deal with some bubbling. Its not a huge deal depending on how you use your senkos. If you predominantly use them weightless bubbles in the plastic obviously will slow the fall rate but if you using them weighted a few bubbles won't make a bit of difference.

Cutting them up into small pieces exposes more of the insides, so they dry faster. You can also put the cut up worms on a cookie sheet and leave them in the oven, set on 170, for half an hour to speed up the drying process.
