Bassin Jack
Ok spent a late night playing with my new mold. I was pouring from a 4 cup pyrex cup. I seemed to have a problem with air bubbles trapped in the stick baits. Anyone have any hints on how to avoid this. It really sucks to have to remelt 1/2 of the messed up baits. Thanks again for everyones help so far.
BassnG3
Practice, practice, practice. Additionally make sure your plastic is hot, this will allow for a thinner stream of plastic. Pour right down the center of the hole and pour slowly. I overfill completely to the top of the mold and let them sit for a minute then remove, trim the tops and repeat. It will be a little aggravating for the first few pours but as you pour more it gets alot easier . I hope this helps.. BassnG3
Tm Customs
Make sure your mold is hot! Make sure your plastic is mixed very well and is also HOT! This will ensure no mistakes in pouring sticks this is how I do it and I don't sell any baits and find this easiest. Taylor
nova
I'm going to assume that you are using a microwave to heat your plastic. You will get small bubbles in the plastic especially if you heat the plastic all at once. Try heating in stages(2mins, then 1 1/2 acouple of times). Also you have to stir the heck out of it after each heating. This should reduce the bubbles. If you have humidity in the salt you will definately get bubbles, big time. I take my salt and warm it on my hotplate to dry it before I put it in the plastic. The other thing is practice and eventually you will find what works for you; everybody pours a little differently.
