Richard Prager
I would appreciate any feedback, input, alternatives, etc. concerning this turner. As you can see, I am not handy. I paint 10-20 baits during the day and clear coat the next morning. Time for a new turner or two. Believe it or not these have lasted me a little over six years and still going strong. I would like to consolidate some space and at the same time don't want my turners to take a dump when I'm not prepared for it. I can always put these away for emergency. I don't care to throw money away but I am NOT going to make another turner. I believe these will hold 10 lures. Does anybody have any experience with them...good bad or indifferent...or any other suggestions. My objective is to have new (hopefully a turner or turners for 20 cranks) and compact in size/space. Thank in advance for your suggestions....

Won't save space but i will on money and won't get stuck if/when these go!
Travis
Only potential downside I could see (minimal) would be the longevity of the foam but likely would be a simple fix of adding a layer of painters tape to the handles and keep on going if an issue. I imagine most of use built our own but I would think a few on the site would have one.

Richard Prager
Sounds and looks like the best option in my opinion. Yeah, why change what's been working.....hard to believe these rotisserie motors have been working for 6 years....and I bought them used on e-bay....the best a different system would do is cut my space in half not to mention I was lucky and picked up about 5 hemostats cheap. I use them while painting and clearing and then right to the clothespins. Guess I like to complicate things...thanks!
gone2long
I do know I've seen that design home built they used the foam board insulation as the wheels so without too much difficulty I would think that the design is solid and with minimal mods over time its a sound design.
Chuck Young
I have designed a very flexible lure turner and lure holders system. Mine is about 2 ft long; but it has enough power to turn one 6 ft long. I mark the holes in the foam and have been using the same holes for over a year with no lures slipping out. If you needed to, changing the foam only takes 25 minutes - most of it drying time for the glue. The only problem with this design is that you need an engineering design from Bubble Gum And Duct Tape University to build it. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/31513-high-volume-cheap-lure-turner-lure-holders/?hl=%2Blure+%2Bturner Edited August 23, 2016 by Chuck Young
