bassrecord
You can buy these "Tap the can Tools" on jet.com for under $30 at https://jet.com/product/detail/4216fea008ee4be9b86b7b437ff61dac?jcmp=pla:bng:All%20Products%20-%20NJD:NJD%20-%20Catch%20All:na:PLA_112594582_4372586961_%7bproductgroupid%7d:na:na:na:2&code=PLA15&ds_c=All+Products+-+NJD&ds_cid=&ds_ag=NJD+-+Catch+All&product_id=4216fea008ee4be9b86b7b437ff61dac&product_partition_id=1100912964727&gclid=CMm8rdmqwM4CFasZfgodmQYLmw&gclsrc=ds Don't know if I want to spend the $$$ for hardware in either approach. Rayborne Man's approach works fine for me John
SW Lures
That product Bassrecord is pretty slick you got to admit. Nah, I'm with you, their are so many other ways to do it. Dale
bassrecord
I don't see how that jet.com device would fit a big can. Raborn Man's "Tap the Can" approach is so simple and eloquent. I like it! Over the years I've become more lazy and not too steady-handed and look for quick, simple and little hardware lying around approaches to doing stuff. OOPS, I just described my teen-aged grandson. We're still learning. I said, "I know it says three times, but push that Prime Button 5 times, put your foot on it and pull that crank and the lawn mover should start." I think maybe in 3 or 4 more years he'll learn that 3 is too lean and 8 is too rich. Yep we're still learning. Good luck. John
SW Lures
The question that I have in using a valve is, will the valve freeze up in time? The mcu may build up in time and the time may not be a long one. I have thought about using a threaded valve and place a O ring or gasket on the valve to seal. But using the reinforcing the can as Ben does and a breathing hole. May give that a try soon. Dale
spoonpluggergino
I am not familiar with DN, from what I read is a fantastic clear coat. You should be able to clean the valve with no problem, loosen the packing not turn the valve should come out, make sure the can is on the side with the valve body facing up take a piece of hard wire and clear out any dried out DN
