cadman
Close is a relative term. If you want colors to look like Pro-Tec colors, then you need to buy Pro-Tec powder, or do what I did and have your colors custom matched. Different monitors and different pictures do not always match to what you will get. I've been down this long road, and unless you are willing to be real flexible on color variations, do some trial and error on your part, it is always best to stay with the manufacturer you are familiar with. andy1976
I've been down this road. I believe your looking forward flourecent green, fluorescent yellow, and neon pink. I really like Columbia powder. I may have a pic if you need. Good luck Edited August 12, 2016 by andy1976
edgecrusher
Cadman is spot on, however if you want to branch out the powder coat suppliers, in my opinion have colours that are far better than the pro tec range. Golds, chromes, metallic finishes, dormets, veins etc Edited August 13, 2016 by edgecrusher
smalljaw
I too have tried a lot of different powder and here is what I do. I stay with Columbia Coatings now that I have the base colors down. The only pro-tec I use anymore are some of their glitter colors I haven't been able to blend myself, specifically the watermelon pepper, Alewife, and copperhead. JLS
I do not have an answer to your question but thought I would make sure that you knew, you can buy Pro Tech by the pound. They also sell the Chrome color but I do not think that it is listed on their website.
SW Lures
X2 with Cadman. You are not going to get the same colors from batch to batch. The manufacturers try to keep the colors close. It could even be you, you may not be heating the piece up hotter then you did the last one. Or your oven is not heating evenly. Go with what you like and learn to mix/create other colors with the manufacture(s) colors, as others has stated already.
