I know Gene Larew made them at one time and seems like there were a couple of others that made them as well, but haven't seen any in years. thanks, Ben p.s. I've used the "packing peanut" trick to make tubes float, but the tentacles on the old floating tubes floated as well since the whole thing was filled with microspheres. I made a good cast around a dock, and the stupid thing floated! I'm going "who needs a tube that floats?!" Then I thought about it and decided I'd keep that in the back of my mind incase it could come in handy. I would tell you what they are/we're, but they are in a clear plastic bag.. They also worked well when fished on a Texas rig with the sinker pegged a few inches up the line or with a split shot crimped on the line. I used to fish tubes year round. Not sure why I quit fishing them as much as I once did. It's funny how we're always looking for the "latest and greatest" and seem to forget the "tried and true". My nextt mold will probably be a hollow tube mold as i love fishing tubes myself. I bought the solid tube style mold from enforcer & it works great too. My buddy & i have caught several fish on it & we've caught 2 smallmouth over 5 lbs on it in the 2 weeks i've had it. Mickey it's been so long since I've fished a floating tube I'm not sure I remember what size hook. Was just thinking that if they were still available I might give them another try.
