Eyectcher
Hey guys so reading up on some stuff on airbrushing I noticed that some of the people insist you have a water filter for air comeing out of your compressor I've been useing a contractor grade air compressor as I have a half dozen it had two tanks not sure on the specs but I leave it in my basement in my paint room and I always after finished painting empty out the air and pull out the plug underneath it and leave it out just something we do at work and on occasion I will run the compressor for a minute or so with the plug out to get any moisture that may be in there out my question is a water filter really necessary I have not had any issues so far and I've been painting for quite awhile I could understand if I was painting a car but then again I may be wrong and could benifit from one any help would or comments are appreciated
Chuck Young
Bob, I thought it was a dry heat out there in AZ? Eyecatcher, nowadays you can get a regulator with a filter attached that has a little bleeder valve at the bottom of the glass tube. Why not kill two birds with one stone? below is just one example. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200625243_200625243?cm_mmc=Google-pla&utm_source=Google_PLA&utm_medium=Air%20Tools%20%2B%20Compressors%20%3E%20Air%20Compressor%20Piping%20Accessories&utm_campaign=RapidAir&utm_content=37579&gclid=Cj0KEQjwjK--BRCzv-Wyu4OTosEBEiQAgFp5OKJKC49fSJnDgka7-VzH7d2sJtvOoMN9tR7HMJFd6A8aAlUH8P8HAQ
Chuck Young
The amount of air I push through my compressor in a day wouldn't keep a mouse alive. But I still collect a fair amount in my trap. Even though I mostly use createx water borne paint, I am still glad to get rid of it.
