Les Young
Who makes a mold close to the zoom swimmin chunk? I know jacobs has what he calls a snake head swimming trailer & thought Delmart had one, but don't see it. Would like to have something close to the zoom. I have 3 of the silicone handpour swimming chunks molds from lurecraft that work fine, but would still like to inject them if possible. Painter1
As easy as they are to hand pour, there may not be much market for an injection version but I will keep an eye out for such a mold and holler back if found.
Les Young
There must not be. I've looked everywhere I can think of too. Googled it hard too. You would think zoom would be using one from the looks of theirs though. Thanks Edited September 6, 2016 by Les Young
DaveMc1
Problem is Zoom has a utility patent on their chunks so you usually won't see copy's of theirs and they can be quite vigilant in protecting their patents/trademarks. Theirs are injected but they use machines and large molds.
Les Young
Dave, I understand that & have read quite a bit about zoom going after the little guys. I thought maybe someone had an injection mold that was kind of similar as I like a lot of action on my trailers. Looks like I'll be buying on from Jacobs then. Thanks I appreciate the help. Les Young
Montess, thanks but I'm wanting something with tails along the lines of the zoom swimming chunk or the tails on the hand pour that lurecraft puts out.. Any ideas?
gone2long
Just don't thinker going to find an injection mold of any chunk they are to easy to pour with open molds the big manufacturers will inject them but as was stated they are using $4000-$6000 molds with $60,000 injection machines. Les Young
Yep looks like it. Oh well it was worth a try. I'll either hand pour or buy the snake head mold from Jacobs molds. Thanks guys. Edited September 6, 2016 by Les Young

Les Young
I need to try a craw trailer mold too. Lol My favorite trailer of them all is the zoom swimming chunk, but I really need to get a craw mold to make some good natural looking crawls too. Thanks Edited September 6, 2016 by Les Young
