trav
Tried the search function, and nothing turned up. My question is, is there any household or common accessible coloring I can use with Spike-It pourasol? Like food coloring or anything like that? Walking Dead
Why not just get the coloring? Be careful with adding things that may contain water, alcohol! Boom and fire are possible. Suggest you just get the colorant for safe reasons.

hpssports
Colored chalk will work. Home Depot has neon orange, black, purple, red, & blue. We use the neon orange allot for claw tips & blue with some added silver liquid for our blue flash laminates. Works really well & bright colored. Just make sure you mix it well in liquid plastic before heating or the powder will clump up.
gone2long
Oil based pastels work, steal your wife's eye makeup you know the one with like 15 different colors even some crayons have been known to work but as stated ensure compatibility before blowing up the shop. most dyes will bleed. trav
Thanks for the help guys. I was trying to avoid the $80 for the Alumidust kit. The spike it colorant looks like it'll be perfect
texacan84
95% of my colorants are from spike-it and have very good success with them. I also use Lurecraft because Spike-It doesn't carry some colors I need. They also sell their colorants in 1oz bottles and they last a while. Trust the guys on this forum when asking questions, they've all been very helpful to me when I was getting started and still are helpful. It's good to know their are guys on here to answer your questions. All of us has our favorite mfg's we deal with and we all will tell you which ones to try but in the end you have to do what works for you. DaveMc1
Thanks for the help guys. I was trying to avoid the $80 for the Alumidust kit. The spike it colorant looks like it'll be perfect The alumadust isn't an actual colourant, its a powdered pearl or hilite. The liquid colourant is what you are looking for.
