I know they went through the flood in LA. I was wondering if there was an update? I ordered from them 3 weeks ago and email twice within the past 3-4 days but I haven't heard back thus far. If you wanted to help you would have said, "I checked the website and it said this..." Yes, I am aware of the message and saw it when I placed the order 3-4 weeks ago. Some people don't manage their own sites and David is more than likely busy or potentially doesn't have internet service to check, orders, email...etc. My question, "I was wondering if anyone knows the Bears Baits crew and if/when they might be selling again?" You were given a direct answer to your question- unfortunately w/out the sugar coating you think you deserved/desired. There's a phone # to reach Bears-which is not always answered promptly. Man up and stop w/ the crybaby excuses. some folks on this site are simply helpless and want everything done or handed to them. You labeled a professional as condescending and may have trouble in the future from obtaining correct and helpful answers from those of us who manufacture soft and lead baits professionally. I have no idea or heard anything but with 5ft of water getting into the shop I would not expect him being up an running anytime soon. Figure all equipment, mills, computers, etc... damaged. Clean up, repairs, insurance coming out to take a look, replacements arriving, getting set back up, etc...... If it were my order I wouldn't expect it to show up till late this year. Depending on what else was damaged (not for sure if the water got into his house) I wouldn't expect it to show up until even later. No actually it wasn't typed in a condescending tone at all (if it was spoken you'd be able to see that) You got a little snarky in your reply when you didn't hear exactly what you wanted, so I just fed a little back to you, that is all. Now that some of us have had the chance to try and flex their internet muscles it's time to get back to making baits. Thanks gone2long and Jeff@mf for the update. Yeah, I ordered when it first started to flood over there not realizing how bad it was going to get. I was going to start production now for early next year (that was the plan) on some two tone colors. Their safety and well being is what's important right now. I have friends over that way that lost every thing they had. One friend had 7 feet of water in her home and she has 4 young children to take care of. So your patience is needed at this time i'm sure. And please keep all of those that were affected in your thoughts and prayers. Trust me a lot of people are needing those prayers. Most of us are going to bed every night and getting a good night sleep.....why at the same time they are suffering. I'm sure that fishing is not the number one thing on their minds at this time. I went through the flood of 94 in GA and I know when something like that happens it touches all parts of your life. That was the reason I was checking status. Certainly not rushing anyone; I just needed to know if it was going to be the first of the New Year...etc. I want to support them with my order, but I do need to know if I need to go to plan B. My comment about "fishing" in the latter post was more to lighten the mood of the thread that somehow got WAY off topic and not meant to dismiss the gravity of the situation in LA I assure you.
