Turn Out More Product?

Good question, Mark. It depends on your process. If you're evacuating the plastic from your injector and laying it on your bench after the shot, no it won't help. If you are keeping your plastic hot, either with a presto or hot plate and can evacuate the injector, and rest your injector in heated plastic it probably will.

I've never had a problem with the injectors plugging or any other issues without the extra heater and pid. YMMV. The stirrers are nice.

I am not saying it will plug up at all. But the quality of the laminate baits will suffer when half melted plastic get in the Twinjector and put in the mold. When the pot are full there is heat up to the middle of the Twinjector and it will work fine but when there is a quart the heat is so low that it is hard to keep it from getting clumps that don't have time to melt. On the next cycle they get sucked up and out in the baits. Some may not care if it does that but I do. With the heater it keep the Twinjector hot all the way to the top all the time.

The presto pots hold a lot of plastic. If you are producing to sell, no big deal. You want large volume. If, like me, you just produce for yourself, it's more volume than I need. That's my only con and some guys even want more volume than the Presto. They by their plastic by the drum and tote. So, it depends on production volume if they are good for you or not. The system is nice, though.

If you need to keep your molds cooler, try adding molds of a similar size that aren't being used in between molds you are shooting. They act as a heat sink. I also have a furnace blower (squirrel cage) mounted to one of my benches. If my molds get too hot, I'll get the blower after them. It doesn't take long to cool molds off with that much airflow.
