Reason I ask is that I need fine cut silicone in colors that fishing skirts.com don't carry and living rubber.com don't carry unless you buy by the 1000. smalljaw Posted October 20, 2016 Report Share Posted October 20, 2016 Fine cut silicone is not the same as fine cut rubber. Fine cut rubber has more strands, fine cut silicone has the same number of strands as they stay the same width, what changes is the thickness of the tab. I have some fine cut silicone left as I occasionally use it with regular silicone on finesse jigs, the difference is that it has a little more movement and it doesn't slow the fall down on a jig as much. If I want a bulky look on a skirt but I still want the jig to fall fast, I'll use the fine cut and the name is misleading, it should be thin tabs or something like that because the strand widths are normal size. It's the same material D&L uses to make the Baby Advantage jig and it's a little different than Skirts Unlimitid. D&L gets it from Skirts plus. Skirts Plus sells wholesale. Fishingskirts.com has a few Finesse series that I use but other colors that I would like to have they don't offer unless you buy 5000 tabs of one color.
