Fishermanbt Posted October 20, 2016 Report Share Posted October 20, 2016 Made a few. Got some cheap neoprene koozies at a function. I was able to stretch them around my Pyrex cups. Improved heat retention some but they're pretty thin. My main objective was to keep from banging the cups around. If the cup should fail and explode it should contain the shrapnel and molten plastic. Darkman Posted October 21, 2016 Report Share Posted October 21, 2016 I use small Pyrex cup with no handles, about 5oz and they get real hot, was thinking how to reduce heat by wrapping them, never thought using a koozie. I used silicone to glue fiberglass "paper" (thin fiberglass insulation) to my cups and that works well for me. I did that for norpro silicone cups and it also stiffens the sides of the cups.
