ribeye
I find my junebug senkos come out to dark. I'm using the do it mold. I can shoot a senko and shoot a super hog same batch night and day.
Apdriver
Hmmm. Looks like the do it essential senko and has a rough finish. The hog is a CNC and has a super smooth finish giving a different appearance and changes how the light moves through the bait. Also different thickness of baits will change the way color appears.

AZ Fisher
I used Skimp's mod on the mold with relative success. I don't know how to post a link, but search softbaits for "Do-it essential molds" and there is a post from Darkman Prado with a tutorial vid for modifying the mold with"Hi-temp Engine Enamel." It helped me with the cloudy colored surface common with the Essential series molds.
AZ Fisher
I don't know if this worked, but tried to post a link. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/30926-do-it-essentials-from-dull-to-shiney-baits/?hl=%2Bdo-it+%2Bessentials

mark poulson
You can also try using half the amount of color in the senkos.
ribeye
I tried doing that but I fine the bait comes out a lot softer than when using normal amount of color
kayaksticks
are you stirring the plastic between injecting the 2 baits? if one is feeling softer than the other is it possible the plastisol is settling between injections/reheats? ipt
well a small part of it is the super hog is way thinner, so it lets light through it easier. add some hot pink to the senkos!
Les Young
A baby brush hog & super hog will look different due to the super hog body being bigger in diameter. The tails will look different between the two when help up to a fluorescent light due to tail thickness.

rayhorse
Hi everyone, Other option is to polish the senko mold. You will need a dremel a bounch of rotative felts and a polish paste for aluminum molds. After this You can get a very nice and smooth finish on your senkos.
gone2long
What colorant are you using that looks nowhere near Junebug as I know it, has too much of something maybe red?
FATFLATTIE
Both pictures are the same color, just different molds. The bottom picture looks pretty good to me. Just think it's the rough finish of the mold distorting the color.
Les Young
What colorant are you using? When i tried using lurerworks violet 193 in my junebug which is what spikeit claimed was used in zooms junebug nowadays they would turn a red tint due to the violet being very heat sensitive.I forget what the exact name was, but that is the only color i've had to do it. It would aslo do it worse the hotter the mold got. I've used their junebug 125 & lurecrafts black grape both for mine now & never have a problem. Just a thought. Baitjunkys
I have zooms actual recipe. I promise you it does not have violet in it. This is not a recipe I devised, it is a recipe right out of one of there producers books. Blue and purple is all you need. I have been using lureworks junebug 125 & lurecraft black grape, but i'll try the blue & purple thing. Be nice to know how many drops of each in say 6 ounces of your medium. Hint hint. lol Edited November 27, 2016 by Les Young
