smalliesam
It's been many years, since my graphic art days, that I picked up an airbrush. I became a river smallmouth addict as well as a published fly tier in the meantime. Still love to throw plugs at bass and hate that some of favorites have been discontinued. So, when I saw the Copic airbrush on YT, I figured it might be the solution. If the fish don't mind a slight variation on a theme, seems I may be right. The Copic is working for the basics, but if I get more involved, I'll have to pull out the old Paasche. The Copic will still be great for bass flies so I'm happy to have it.
jigginpig
Nice bugs. I would be tempted to make a couple sliders by rotating the head 180 on axis.
SW Lures
That's some nice work. I'm a addict to. There I said it! I love floating down rivers in the region, some times for days. I'm getting close to finishing a small version of a broke back Thunderstick and starting on a newt bait. There's nothing like a strike near the surface by a smallie. I would be a lot further if it wasn't for some jigs I have to finish. I like the black dusting around the eyes on two in the middle picture. I have a 2" bait which would look good with a scheme like the first pic in the middle, spotted belly. I call it Stumpy. Lol Keep throwin um, Dale ps, for that matter any of the larger species near the surface. Gets the old heart thumping!
