Curt - NC
Sometime during the next few days we will be upgrading the software that the TU site runs on. When this upgrade happens, it will drastically change the look and feel of the site initially. But don't panic! We will be working behind the scenes after the upgrade to restore all of the customizations, to make TU look and feel the way it always has. The upgrade will add some new security features to the site, helping to keep it secure from hackers. It will also add some new functionality on the user end. We will keep you updated. Curt - NC
OK Gang, as you can see, the site is back up and running on new software, so there is a new look and feel to everything. The new software will be customized over the next several days, so it will look different when we're finished with it. Once we're done with the customizations it will have a similar look and feel to what it had before the upgrade. Thanks for your patience while we work through the upgrades

Curt - NC
@gliders Thanks. These types of things can be trying, since the site can actually go down if it doesn't go right. But I have a good developer helping me with the customizations, so I know that part will go smoothly And for the record, I like what I've seen so far regarding the software itself. Seems like the company did their homework when they were designing it.
RayburnGuy
I will say one thing. It's definitely different. There are some things I like and some other things not so much. Probably nothing I can't adapt to over time. I'll hold out on my opinion until the final work is done. Ben
JimP
Great job on the updates. 500 things could have gone wrong, and the site would be a wreck. Looks great and as some others have mentioned a few changes we need to get used to. It will be smooth sailing in a few days. Thanks,
Vodkaman
I can no longer see who 'liked' a post. I do not see the harm in publishing the names. I hope this can be resolved. Dave

Should be OK from here though
Curt - NC
By the way, right now a few of the old pages are inaccessible, like the Classifieds. But I hope to have that back up and running again before too long. It's all part of the upgrade process. The software had become pretty outdated and the new platform does things a bit differently than the old software did.
alsworms
Everything looks great........and this is coming from a grumpy old guy who HATES change! Just a few more clicks and I'm sure I'll be rolling again. Thanks, Curt!
Apdriver
Where's the gallery?
RayburnGuy
On the old software you had an option to click on unread posts and it would carry you to the first unread post of that thread. I can't seem to figure out a way to do that with this new software and it's really annoying. I can either click on the post and it will carry me to the first post of that thread, whether I've already read it or not, or I can click on the latest post and it will carry me there. If there are multiple new posts to a thread it still carries you to the latest post and you have to scroll back through and find any unread posts. If I'm missing something I would appreciate it if someone would enlighten me and if this is just how the new software works then can we please do something about it? thanks, Ben p.s. It would also be nice if the posts were numbered so when a referral is made to a specific post in a thread it's easier to find. SW Lures
Curt, let's say I have a pic in a phone or pad and I want to post it in a forum for reference to a question. It appears that I don't need a secondary site to put it in a pixel size. Am I right about "insert media" button at the bottom of the window. This would be great! Im getting use to the site. At this point I like the changes so far. I understand the older platforms not behaving with a new one. This is just find to me. I'm sure somethings will change here and there. As Ben would state, Just my ....oh yeah Ben I can do this now from a pad. Lol...Take care, Dale Edited December 3, 2016 by DaleSW Typo

SW Lures
JR, I switch from a phone to a pad. So far none are different buddy. I have not been on a computer but my pad normally looks like the computer version except for emoticons. We got them now for all. There are a few other things you have now that you didn't before. , cheers Dale P.S., I got to do better on proof reading......grrr Edited December 3, 2016 by DaleSW
Curt - NC
As the developer continues to work in the background things like the gallery and classifieds will come back.
