Groucho
I've been searching for spinnerbait molds that have a ring for skirts and also a keeper for plastics if want to. Do-it has one- are there any others around. The sizes i would like are 1/8. 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. Probably can't get all those sizes in one mold but would be nice. Thanks
Skimpy
You can mod a mold to accept spinnerbait wires. Check out this video
JBarlow
You can also modify almost any spinner bait mold to accept Do-It's wire keeper used in some of their jig molds. This wire keeper. I would use the longer wire keeper as it would be placed deeper in the spinner bait head and be more stable. http://store.do-itmolds.com/Wire-Keeper-Form-WB800_p_483.html
Groucho
In the video why doesn't the other arm interfere with the closing of the mold
smalljaw
22 hours ago, Groucho said: In the video why doesn't the other arm interfere with the closing of the mold It actually does interfere, but the wire is far enough away that the back of the mold is slightly open but the cavity he is pouring is closed. Remember, that wire is thin, it is probably somewhere between .032" and .040" in diameter so the mold is open only a little on the back but because of the distance it allows the cavity to close completely.
