MonteSS
This is a line thru mold that I modded for ai Mustad 4/0 91768bln jig hook. I wanted a heavier weight than the 1/4 oz available so used thick solder to make my own weighted hooks. The eyes are Spike-it/Lureworks which are soft plastic and go on with Mend-it. They stay on and no dipping required I have other pics but dont see the gallery any more. Edited December 5, 2016 by MonteSS
mark poulson
That bait looks and swims great! Do you coat the lead so it won't oxidize and turn white?
MonteSS
No coat. I am seeing how it holds up for now.
alsworms
Sweet bait. I dabbled in one similar to that for awhile. Making them look good was a piece of cake. Making them swim right was a different story. If you can do both, hats off!
MonteSS
They actually swim pretty good with the 1/4 oz weighted hook. A lead mold like this or modding the do-it mold would bring the CG down and be perfect. I never tried pouing lead and am not sure I want to start for just this project
