Super Ron
Hey guys, can you sand epoxy? I painted a jerkbait and didn't notice a couple bubbles in the clear. I was wondering if you can you 1000 grit sand paper or maybe steel wool to smooth the bubbles down and then add a second coat. I would rather know before I try. That way if I can't I just put it in my tackle box instead of giving it to my son.
gliders
Yes ,sand then clear, steel wool could leave tiny bits in epoxy.
mayhem1202
Sanding marks will disappear with the next coat, but be careful with the dust when you sand. Epoxy dust is bad news, particularly if it's only partially cured. I prefer to wet sand epoxy to avoid that.

JRammit
No steel wool... I did that once, left an ugly dark spot I couldn't get out no matter how much I sanded
SW Lures
If possible keep the grit as fine as possible. I got a tad bit carried away once and left some noticeable marks in the clear. Dale
