willgohome
I forgot to ask my main question........ Has anybody ever used a fresh, but dead, baitfish as the plug or model for a mold to reproduce same in authentic fashion as far as shape is concerned? thx..........Will J

basskat
Wonder if you'd come up with a mold full of scales?
RDW
DON'T use a shad. After a few ....well too many adult beverages me and a buddy decided to mold a shad in fiberglass resin. BIG mistake. It took 2 weeks for the smell to go away from the shop. The resin actually cooked the shad. Needless to say we never checked to see if it left a useable cavity. Big Splash
I haven't done this yet, but have given it some thought. Use plaster and some type of oil as a mold release. It shouldn't be that hard.
