uttexas
Just started making my own plastics a month ago, and this site has been a great resource. I am enjoying making prototypes from clay, odds and ends (wooden spoon handles/beads/carriage bolts, etc) around the house/garage; then making two piece silicone molds. I first experimented with POP and fiberglass, but have found rtv silicone to be more consistent when making a two piece mold. With the cold weather, and limited free time, I'll be making more baits soon. Here's a sample of some plastics I've made recently

Apdriver
Those are cool. When I started, I jumped right into injection and skipped the homemade part. Thinking about going back and trying some of that myself.
uttexas
Really enjoying the DIY aspects. You can end up spending a small fortune in tensile strength 30 RTV silicone.
