walleye warrior
I am only able to find 1 suppler ( Columbia) that has the right color of Transparent pink powder for what i use. Can any one tell me if i can mix my own transparent from a solid and clear? will a lot of clear dilute the solid out enough to give it a transparent effect. Was hoping to get some opionions before i go and start mixing up a bunch of my powder attached is the color i am trying to achieve. the picture is of Columbia Coatings Hot Pink
Fatman
You can try it - I've learned a lot about mixing so if you do make sure to write down everything you do. I don't worry about how much clear I use as I buy it by the pound. Start out with a tablespoon of your color and a 2 table spoons of clear. Dip a head and see if it's what you want. If it's not try more clear but mark down every time and the amount you add. If you dont' want to try that contact Columbia and see how much they'd charge to make it for you - doesn't hurt to ask. There is a lot of stuff not on their site. Edited January 7, 2017 by Fatman
mark poulson
Since pink is white and red mixed, could you do that to get this color?
walleye warrior
My fault, it is not a Columbia color. It is a Pro-tec color
andy1976
I believe I have 3 lbs of that color sitting around somewhere. I think it's candy pink.
stretcher66
a lot of people would think 3 pounds is a huge amount, but Andy pours tons of big saltwater jigs, and fine jigs they are at that....
