wootonc
Does anyone know where I can get these swivels with the sleeve that you can crimp on to hold the blade on the wire. Thanks for the help
Apdriver
Rosco. Here's a pic of their swivel on my arigs. They are called sleeve swivels. Also, you shouldn't use them on the middle wire that follows straight behind the head. Use two sleeves, two beads, and a clevis on this wire. Apdriver
Notice two ridges on the sleeve that holds the swivel in place. You just crimp both ends to the wire on the outside of these ridges, with a set of crimping pliers. These are time savers in the build process.

Apdriver
Great company to do business with. You have to pay the excise tax if you don't have a tax number. Here you go guys. http://www.roscotackle.com/fishing-tackle/product-list/sleeve-swivel-1

Ballin21
What size swivels to size wire are you using?
Apdriver
Barlows sells .043 stainless wire in 1 lb. coils. The smallest size sleeve swivel has a .045 inside diameter which is perfect for size and fit. It doesn't take much lb. test to hold a Willowleaf blade. I make my own harnesses to control costs.

I made a mistake that I want to correct in the wire size I use. I just mic'd one of my Arigs and I am using .041 wire. I posted that I was using .043 and I was mistaken about that. I am sorry but I was going from my memory and I use a lot of different components and can't remember all the sizes sometimes. This wire is strong enough to handle a striper. I saw Barlows had .043 wire and you may consider that but with the .041, the .045 i.d. Sleeve swivel that rosco sells fits nicely. You could try the .043 wire but I don't know if the sleeve would fit after you cut the wire with your wire cutters. It would deform some at the cut.

Ballin21
Ok thank you very much. I too make my own lures, just cuts cost and you know what is going into your lures.
