robn510
Hi guys, happy 2017 to you all. I have a question.. I have a project i'm playing with and before i go and waste materials thought i would ask the pros first. I'm needing to pour some thin sheets of plastic. was thinking of heating the plastisol and pouring it onto a cookie sheet. maybe using more than i need and pouring the excess off to get coverage. then possibly using a spatula or thin cutting board like a squeegee to spread it thin? should i just pour it directly onto the cookie sheet? should i use something like parchment paper underneath? should i oil the sheetpan? will the plastisol self level? has anyone ever poured 2' x 2' x 1/8" sheets of worm plastic before? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks. Baitjunkys
Its gonna cool extremely fast, spatula is not going to thin it. You got to rely on self leveling. pour from one end to the other, directly on the clean cookie sheet, work your way from front to back as you go from right to left to minimize cold jointing. If it was a tad thicker you could just pour it to it likely.

rixon529
Robn510 you may have a hard time finding a cookie sheet thats 24x24. What about an auto drip pan with a quick spray of Pam? Good luck with your project. Rick
jesse1378
We have a huge cookie sheet but it's thick. I would get some small cheap ones and put them on a griddle and pour on that. They will be thin metal so heated quickly and higher temp and small so your work time is extended.
