dpalinsk
Buddy has been out whacking ducks. Wondering the feathers from any of these ducks would be worth harvesting for making jigs. David

azsouth
many different ways to do it, you can skin the duck or pluck the feathers.... depending on the time and effort you want to invest.
mark poulson
Thanks guys. A buddy is a big time bird hunter, and I'll hit him up for some of his feathers.
dpalinsk
Finally made it over to my buddies house today. He had three Teal ducks. Plucked a bunch of feathers from them. I'll sort through them later, but I don't think there are many useful feathers off of these ducks. Best part was he gave me the ducks to eat along instructions form preparing and cooking them!
azsouth
there are so many uses for those feathers imo..... teal are small and don't provide a lot of feathers if plucked, also remember that duck feathers will repel water.
