MonteSS
Anyone ever seen like 6-8mm concave plastic eyes. I would like them to go over the built in Bill Lewis Rattle trap eyes or maybe even a Wart. Ty
RayburnGuy
If you can't find something to fit over the molded eyes on a Rat-L-Trap you can always sand them down flush with the body of the bait. Then it's just a matter of gluing on the eye of your choice. A good epoxy top coat will reinforce the glued on eye as well. I do this quite often and have yet to have any eyes torn off while fishing. 21xdc
Best option is to grind off bulging eye with a file, sandpaper, dremel tool.... Buy the eye size you like from the link I provide and clear coat over... Not sure you can do any better or cheaper. I love some of the 3 color options they have. They look great! http://lisaandedseyes.ipage.com/lure_eyes.htm
SW Lures
I have been tinkering with making eyes. I have using tape, foil, paint etc. One way I have been doing some is taking a cone head drill bit and making a eye socket. Then punching out some eyes just bigger then the socket and pushing them into place. Doing some hand painting for the pupils then putting a small amount of clear over them. This to me gives them a different look. Not sure if it's a good look for others but it's interesting to me, a concave look and I believe a more reflective eye. I have to do a little trimming for now if I use foil or tape. Dale
