Bridgeylure
I have just started back after 4 years away and decided to change head style to try and be different. I have gone with a hidden weight head in 3/8oz 1/2 oz 3/4oz 1oz 11/2oz 2oz they are much larger in the body to try and get the skirt over the top of. I have gone with zman ez skirts as i thought they would be more elastic and stretch over which they did do but now im finding that they are just splitting and falling off. Need urgent help in finding a solution as i may be able to still use what skirts i have for 2 smaller sizes but need another option possibly larger diameter skirt bands or i may have to use orings which could become expensive. Any help much appreciated head styles can be seen on my facebook page bridgewater lures in Australia
Basseducer
You may have to start tieing them on. I made a few of those and tieing the skirt on worked well. I don't know about pre-made skirts.
JBarlow
Those skirts have a solid hub that will just break when you slide it over the hidden lead part of the lure. You will have to go with a skirt with a regular skirt collar or like bassducer suggested you can tie them on.
Jeff Hahn
Anymore, I only use the pre-made skirts when testing colors. Once I have a color I want to use regularly, I tie on all of my skirts. Too many times, I've had a rubber collar deteriorate and the skirt drop off into the water. Dunno about that, I use pro tie skirts from skirts plus, I can slide them on a 4oz ultra minnow collar which is fairly wide, mind you it doesn't go without a lot of effort and sometimes worm oil as lube
Bridgeylure
What do you use to tie them on? Stainless wire in what gauge? Or something else

Or something else I prefer to use jig tying thread on a bobbin. And, once it is tied, I put on two coats of clear Sally Hansen Hard as Nails clear nail polish. Other folks use small diameter stainless or copper wire. I have used wire a few times and it works great. But, later if I change my mind and want to remove a skirt, the thread is easier to get off.
mark poulson
I use both thread and .024 galvanized wire I get from Home Depot.
