SRJ
Use a paper clip thru the eye and hang from all thread rod.
Walking Dead
Agree with SRJ and in addition, sounds like you are getting too much paint on the jigs even with a fluid bed. Try not heating the jig head so much and see if that helps in reducing the amount of paint and drip.
Slammingjack
Yep, getting the jig head too hot. So there is too much paint. If you hang it by the hook in the oven you get cone head jigs.

Apdriver
There's a fine line between too hot and too cold. When you get it right, you'll know. Like these Gents said, you're getting your jigs too hot. Well, how do you know what's too cold? If you dip your jig and it doesn't pick up enough powder to cover it, it's too cold. If you still see raw lead after you dip it, it wasn't hot enough. If you dip it and it smokes and bubbles, it's too hot. You want it just hot enough to pick up a light coat of powder and then (bake)heat set it. I count seconds in the heating process. Too hot, only heat it 5 seconds as opposed to 10 etc. etc.
fshng2
I agree with Apdriver to run colder while still getting full paint coverage. Tip For Baking: Cut a paper clip and form it to be an S shape. Hang jig thu the eye with the modified paper clip. Next place a 3\8 or 1\2" nut on the hook to keep the jig more verticle. This set up prevents excess paint from running into the eye or making a cone head. What you get is a perfect head every time.
Popular Post smalljaw
You got the right answers but I can help a little bit with the heat. If you are having trouble with getting the heat just right, try doing what you are doing now only dip and remove faster, speed can be your friend. I find a lot of people new to powder painting will dip and pause a second or two and that is where you end up with too much paint. So the next time painting heat your jig and dip and remove a little faster and see how it goes. This is something that takes getting use to and you get a few different answers because what works for one person might not work well for you but if you keep at it you'll develop your own way.
