UNC
I'm very new to making my own baits, as in I got my fist injection mold less than a week ago. I have looked on here for some recipes to get a senko to have the fluttering action when it falls but all that seems to come up in my searches are color recipes and such. As for my equipment I have a Do-It 5 In Senko mold, Do-It essential series plastiol medium, Do-it injector, and Do-It colors. I use pickling salt that I bought at walmart and some glitter that I found at a hobby store. The mix I have been using is 1 cup plastiol, 1/4 salt, 1/4 tsp glitter. The colors look pretty good like this and the fall rate isn't too bad compared to a real Senko. My question is how to get the fluttering action that a real Senko has. I'm nervous to add much more salt because my first batch with it I used 1/3 cup and the baits were super cloudy and I noticed I had air pockets in about 1/2 to 3/4 of the baits I injected with that mix. My ratio was a lot better with the 1/4 mix but that might have been because I was learning how to inject a little better. Any help at all would be great. mark poulson
Salt makes senkos stiffer, so use soft plastic, and add some softener, too.
