Attitude
I am getting serious about purchasing a 2004 Tracker Targa 17SC with an upgraded outboard....Mercury 115 Four Stroke. If you guys could provide any info...good, bad, hopefully not ugly...about this company/boats I'd appreciate it. All I've heard so far is pretty good. Thanks in advance! Attitude
Chip- Thanks for the reply. I like the extra room on the boat w/o the dual console...but I haven't actually seen the dual in person....will check that out. What kinda motor is yours? Chip
I dont suffer from lack of room like I thought i would. What is nice is when the water is ruff or the wind if kickin... Will keep your partner dry and trust me.... big water will still come over that boat in boat wake or rough weather water. If you fish the cooler months... it will keep you warm and dry. I live in Michigan now, so Whether I am 5 miles out on the Great lakes or on an inland pond, Double console is great! I can get up to 55mph with the 90hp that i have. But get all the HP you can afford! You can always throttle back, but you can only give it so much gas. Take Care! Chip

All I've heard so far is pretty good." Tracker boats is a Johnny Morris (Bass Pro Shops) company. The boats themselves are good quality aluminum. The company tends to use the smallest motors possible, low thrust trolling motors, and bottom of the line electronics to keep the costs down and maximize sales. In most cases a motor, trolling motor, and/or depth finder upgrade is necessary to get the optimum from the boat.
