bmlum
I was wondering where I could buy some strong figure 8 links to make some chatter baits. I already have a Sparkie mold that I was going to modify and ordered the figure 8 links from Barlows but they seem too thin and i'm able to bend them with my hand. Any help would be appreciated. AZ Fisher
I have a Do-it Casting jig mold # SMJ-3-MF, and I use LPO # 4047-01, figure 8 link, size medium and a spinnerbait hook of your choosing that fits your mold.
TerryF2858
http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/plug-parts/310311.aspx these give length and diameter of wire
rfdong
I use the ones from Jann's seem a bit sturdier to me. But others use the Barlow ones without problems. I use size 2 and have caught fish to 9.5lbs on them.
Taxin_that_bass
Resurrecting this thread.... I have been trying to make my own chatter baits with connector links, my first attempt i used the barlows connector links in the small size and the wire is way too soft, just the torque of the vibration bends the wire. I can twist the blade and open the wire up. Are the jann's or lure parts pretty heavy duty? I am hoping to simply crimp the open end of the link down after pouring and putting the blade in.
Jeff Hahn
The ones I use are LPO part #4047-01, Jann's part #310311-03, or Barlow's part #4108140-2.

Our SKU for the size 2 is 410184. You transposed a couple of numbers.
