TroutSupport.com
Anyone have any experience between using different types of bags. Do the laminated hold up better compared to the standard poly ethylene or the super clear polyethylene. Are they speacialy formulated for it? Or do the standard poly bags hold up just fine over time? alsworms
Honestly, I think it's personal preference. I tried the laminated bags and wasn't really impressed with them. Thought I'd try something different than 4 mil, and ended up going back.
Baitjunkys
imo if there going on a store shelf laminated bags are the only way. you dont want your baits on the floor, nor the stink soaking up the air.
andy1976
I really like GT bags. Give them a try. I put 8 oz jig heads in a 4 by 5 and other sizes with no issues.
Baitjunkys
now are we talking lead, or plastics?
andy1976
Lead but I use them for plastics too. Just saying they're pretty durable. Edited March 6, 2017 by andy1976
Driftwood
Laminated will keep your product and scent in the bag. Presentation is everything to a store owner.
hpssports
If you're selling scented baits, laminated bags are a must to keep the scent & oils in. Baits for personal use or for jigs & jig heads etc., poly bags would be fine. If you're selling unscented baits, you may get by with poly bags. I would still look for a higher quality, thicker mil poly bag for the unscented baits just to be safe.
