porkmeatballs
I use envirotex lite. Yeah, it says that the full cure time is about seven days.
gliders
Porkmeatballs, you dont need to wait a week between coats of e-tex, depending on conditions I can do another coat of e-tex after 8 -10 hours. . ....glider
porkmeatballs
Good to know! I actually just epoxied a shad swimbait, but I was lazy and just did one semi-thick coat... It was a decent coat, but it did have one or two fish eyes. I should really try more coats...
gliders
I personally would recommend several lighter coats than a thick coat. It's tempting to think thick coats will avoid fish eye's but it can mean you just make the fish eye deeper and also can make the e-tex build up in places you don't want it. I'm not saying put on real thin but if your happy with the thickness of your 1 heavy coat ,try to get to same thickness with 2 lighter coats and so on, and avoid touching between coats completely, if you have to touch it then wipe with alcohol afterwards and only when hard......good luck.......glider
porkmeatballs
Well i just tried doing two thinner coats on one of my trout sb's, and it turned out really well! There was a part with a little too much epoxy, but other than that it looks good! I think with a little more practice I'll be able to do a perfect clear coat... Thanks so much, TU!
