Willie Rip
I don't remember which, but you're right I've noticed the day before and the day after a full moon works well. The same with the new moon. In fact I don't fish unless it's the week of the full or new moon. For me it isn't worth the gas money. Anglinarcher
When I am fishing tough fish, the night time 1 to 3 days before or 1 to 3 days after the full or new moon seem to turn on some monsters. Case in point is some winter/early spring Walleye in Washington State up to 15 pounds. But, for me, the best time to go fishing is when I can get off and my wife lets me. LOL The worst thing that can happen is to NOT go fishing and find myself watching TV or working instead.
Willie Rip
Anglin, that's about how I am. I figure plan the whole week of the new moon and full moon and forget the rest.

taklebob
I haven't tried fishing during the week of the full moon.
Willie Rip
Yup, the full moon and the new moon are about all I fish: the week of the full moon and the week of the new moon. I use usprimetimes.com to help me zero in on the exact days and times to fish.
Vodkaman
Very nice video, enjoyed it a lot. I wonder what effect the solar eclipse has on fish. My guess is that the fish will go into a feeding frenzy, as they think they have missed supper. Dawn and dusk are catching times in my experience. cadman
I've had better luck fishing before and after a full moon. I've tried this for three consecutive years and documented my results and that seems to be a better fishing time for me.
taklebob
Will I be able to double my chances of catching tiger shark at full moon?

Sure, now go out, catch one and post your results. You never know. LOL
bonepile
I fish when the water is wet. whatever the moon is doing, it's doing. but one sure thing is, you definitely won't catch fish if your rod isn't out.
