uttexas
Soldered first, then JB weld. They run keel weight down and look good in the pool. Will have to see how they hold up over time (welding probably would have been better, then melting a little lead over the welding)

mark poulson
That is a great idea! It's on my project list for today!!! I'm going to use wire wrap, and coat with super glue. Just try not to get the hooks too hot, or they will lose their temper and soften.

fshng2
Nice work uttexas. I modified the following spro jigs last year. Thru trial and error I found the location/size of blade to be critical. For me the major adjustment was to move the wire forward. If the blade runs too far aft of line tie the jig will swim in the direction of the wire arm and not in the direction of the hook. If this is an issue bend/move the wire in the direction of the jig head & or down size blade. Edited March 24, 2017 by fshng2

fshng2
Thanks. I am very interested in underpins and still learning. Did yours swim in the direction of the hook?
uttexas
They swim with the hook in a vertical position (with the line tie at the front of the hook where the screw hitchhiker keeper is)
