RiverRooster
I've been making baits for a couple years but just recently started building spinnerbaits. I'm trying 2 makeep the heads look professional by airbrushing but I'm having a terrible time gettin good even coverage. Is there a good primer I can use or any other tricks? Thanks
Mad Moose Baits
Have you tried using powder paints? I know a lot of people use an air etcher or mini sandblaster to airbrush w powder.

Apdriver
Good even coverage? Not sure what you mean here. Is your airbrush not performing properly and laying down nice even coats? As far as a good primer, yes there are good primers. I've found the Createx Auto borne sealer to be an excellent primer but you need to reduce it with the recommended 4012 high performance reducer. As with all airbrush colorants, they must be reduced much more to run through an airbrush than a regular spray gun. Sometimes up to 50%. This puts you using multiple coats to get the coverage and color you are looking for. Heat set between coats. Anyway, here's a link to those primer/sealers. http://autoaircolors.com/custom-automotive-paint/auto-borne-sealer.html
