wishn4fishn
I have the top inject 639 and for the life of me I cannot get the ribs to fill out right. I have tried heating the mold, shooting the plastic hotter and cooler, and holding pressure for various amounts of time, and injecting at different speeds. Frank
Just by the look of the baits it looks like the plastic has some lumps in it. For that mold and color you will need to shoot slow and give it a good push at the end to fill out the tail. Some colors are funny that way. You will have much more difficulty shooting this mold if you use small batches.
RTM
I have plenty of those molds and have no issues. How tight are you clamping it? Do not clampbit tight. I normally clamp around 8 single cavities like that together with a wood style lamp and that's good enough. It ain't color and heating the mold is not gonna do anything either. mark poulson
Would spraying the mold with PAM help it fill better? I find it does with my POP molds.

wishn4fishn
Well guys I tried everything you suggested and still can't get this thing to shoot right. It was a little better with a different color.

Does this happen when the mold is cold? Have you cleaned the mold thoroughly? Are you keeping the mold topped off until it's set up?
