snowboarddudeeee
Hey everyone, I love the clown color for Smithwicks. I need to find a way to paint the very flashy chrome and gold to resemble the picture below. I have a bunch of blanks I want to paint just like this but I can't find a way to paint metallic on a bait where the shine stays after epoxy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anyone have luck with this? Also, I wanted to say thank you for the people here who subscribed to my YouTube Channel. I am not a professional artist but I do enjoy making baits and using the airbrush. It gives me a little bit of relief from the daily stresses and catching a fish on them solidifies the return on effort. We just hit 500 subs on YouTube and I am giving back a little to the people who watch my videos. You can enter that giveaway by clicking this link. Travis
Lots of threads on the subject..... The short and sweet version for the average hobbyist (not wanting to spend money) there is not a product you can use to get the desired effect as they all go to pot with our top coats. HVAC Foil tape the most economical way for the average guy to get similar results. Some of the big box store spray paints get some use but I don't find them being really use able especially if selling. Alsa products, Spaz Stix and Cosmichrome also usually end up in these threads. Foil techniques and then electroplating usually gets mentioned also as they progress. Edited March 21, 2017 by Travis
