BigBaitB
One of my silicone molds leaves a white/opaque residue on the outside of my baits. Any thoughts on how to fix this or what is causing it??
Driftwood
Silicone molds are porous so they may just need a good cleaning. Try using vegetable oil.
BigBaitB
With the vegetable oil do I just scrub the mold with it or is there a process
alsworms
Another option is dipping a Q-tip in worm oil and lightly brushing the cavities. Works for awhile, but the process needs to be repeated depending on how much you pour.
Driftwood
I just used a cloth to wipe them out good.
BassJunky
Wish I saw this thread earlier, but at least ill know for next time. My first pour or two the baits turned out great but I noticed the same residue as I moved to darker baits. With all the said Ive had the finished baits in worm oil and scent since Sunday and I dont notice the residue as much
