WaterWerx
Hello Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that you have a new member among you. I registered a few nights ago, but really haven't had a chance to introduce myself. I've been kinda busy watching Ivan on the Weather Channel. I'm hailing from Pensacola Florida. I've lived here off and on for too long. I call the Atlantic Seaboard home...Mainly VA BCH/Hatteras(spent my child hood summers there). I enjoy fishing very much and really have spent the last 8yrs doing nothing but saltwater fishing, well now I'm starting to get back into freshwater. I would consider myself a novice tackle crafter with a lot to learn. I've been wrapping rods for quite some time(my grandfather and I spent summers doing it when we weren't fishing since I was 10). I also cast lead, and make the occasional soft plastics. I usually sell the soft plastics/lead to local bait shops in bulk just to re-coupe the costs of the materials and maybe a lil extra. I sell my rods locally at the fleamarket, but most of them I just give to friends as gifts. I'm always looking for something new to try or do and a better way of doing something. My wife knows how to make/repair cast nets, something we've done a few of together for my fishing partners. Her father taught her that... Well I just wanted to stop by and say hi. Looks like a very informative site.

WaterWerx
Thanks for the welcome! Yeah Ivan....I don't think anyone knows where this thing will hit until it does! But I'm preparred for it in any case! I don't know that we will be weathering this one out or not, even though we will have power courtesy of our Natural Gas standby generator. I'll make that decision tomorrow afternoon.
