fshng2
You don't need an injector of any kind. Just turn on the motor to spin and pour hot plastic in the center of the mold. Give it a minute to cool, open the mold, and that's it. Mold costs however are generally the show stopper: Molds can be machined or masters can be vulcanized. Unless you are doing this your self these molds can be considered pricey. What about making your own spin casting molds with Alumilite products? Baitjunkys
Air is gonna be the killer spin casting hot plastic, reason they dont do it in production. and all your salt and glitter will likely end up in the tail.
fshng2
This guy has some great skills we can mimic as lure makers. His two videos explain the tools and techniques used in the Vulcanizing Process. This method should cast most stuff we use: Soft plastic, hard plastic, lead etc. 1. How Miniatures are Bornhttps://youtu.be/IYVIVzCmH10 2. Vulcanizing Moldshttps://youtu.be/70QGqNMPZJw

Great comments. 1. Air: Can be successfully removed with proper venting. 2. Salt: Use scents instead. 3. Glitter: You got me on this one. Maybe added as a dip coat. Baitjunkys
Air could be removed with proper venting if it wasn't spinning. Have you tried to successfully do this yet? As soon as the plastic touches the spinning mold, its gonna whip it like a blender.

I haven't done it and I understand your logic, but this guy made it work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlBpPPH7T38

Maybe we are witnessing the beginning of a new era. Probably because of Donald Trump.
Baitjunkys
Likely because you need pre heated plastic, "Pot Cooked" Current production you do not.

Apdriver
I'd like to see some more colors too. That one is bugly. Throw in some glitter. How about a nice watermelon red. Everyone has that in their tackle box.

Baitjunkys
They look good, but some guys don't wanna see any micro bubbles in finished baits, big turn off for them. Hard to really see in them pictures.
edgecrusher
The lack of guarding on these machines shock me, not only the pinch points, but to stop plastic covering the pourer. says the whs person. not sure I'd ever trying spinning plastic but lead interests me. KGuardGutterGuy
I have one of the soft plastic machines. Love it. You can do glitter too. It's all in the pour speed.
