Rapala pro fishing for PS 2

Recommended Posts

Rapala pro fishing was released for playstation 2 today. I picked up my copy a few hours ago and cant put it down! It is awsome!!! :D I am not a big video game guy but this game has me HOOKED! It is fairly complicated but very fun! You get to drive the boat,(225 horses) and pick your spot. There are many lures to chose from in your tackle box as well as different poles and line strength. You can fish tournaments or free fish. You can even control the weather. I would recomend this game to anyone with a PS 2. It should run you about 30 bucks. :D

I played the game for a few minutes Tuesday night. Cool game.

The only thing I didn't like about it is that you can only fish with Rapala crank baits! I wish you could throw a worm, craw, or other plastics. But I guess that's because Rapala doesn't make plastics!

Still a good game though. I recommend it as well!

I loved Sega Bass fishing, especially the arcade version with the built-in rod & reel :D

I know I know, sounds silly, but its a great way to pass the time when the wife drags ya to the mall.

fed the damn machine enough quarters, I should own it by now

Hey CJ, what do you play on Xbox. you get on Xbox Live?

Not sure which one is the best. I won mine at Circuit City. Never planned on buying one. I have heard that the XBox costs money to play online and the PS2 is free but I am not sure if this is true. What I can say is NASCAR Thunder and 4x4 offroad furry are two great games for the PS2. Just don't waste your money on a driving wheel. Those things were not what I expected. Video games have come a long way from the 80's arcade games. The realism is amazing. Some of the games come with 2 player mode. You would be able to play with your son at the same time. Just don't expect to win too often.

If I had to do it all over again I would by an x box. There are more games for the ps2 but with the x box you can add a hard drive to it. Then all you do is rent a game you want and copy it to your system. You can also do the same with dvd's. To have one installed only costs about $100 but well worth it. That is like the cost of 3 games!

Al, I would go with a Playstation2. It does have more games available than the Xbox because it's been around longer, and better quality graphics, in my opinion.

The PS2 does have a hard drive available for it as well, runs about $100 with a game already installed.

Most video rental stores have more PS2 titles available than Xbox titles.

As far as copying rental games to the HD, I wouldn't know about that. But there are ways of taking advantage of renting games vs. purchasing them.

PM me if you want more info.

OH! And the Playstation 3 is supposed to be out in late 2005.

Theyre both great systems,

Bass ackwards, The Xbox is shipped with the hard drive installed 80gig WD i think.

Yeah Xbox will charge you a whopping 4.95 a month to use thier xbox live service, while ps2 is free, you have to setup a new username & account for each game you play, Xbox's account covers every game with online capabilities.

If any of you guys are on xbox live & wanna hook up for a game, my gamertag is redg8r, original huh?

:D

Heres somethin that might tip the scales,

Xbox live has some cool features like voice chat, frinds lists & instant messaging.

for instance, I can turn on the box & see that youre playing "rainbow six".

I can either send you an invte to voice chat, or throw in the rainbow six game & join you in battle.

They'r working on a new function called "clans" where you can form a team or group of friends & challenge other clans.

they also have an occasional situation where they hire a celebrity to play & schedule the time, wouldnt it be cool to play a round of PGA golf paired up with Tiger Woods?

I shouldve mentioned this before,

If you do go with an Xbox, pay the extra 20 bucks for an extended warranty on service, This is my second xbox & well.. its made by microsoft

thats the good thing about the ps2, its a sony product & I havnt had a single problem out of it, both are hooked up online, my ps2 has the hard drive add-on & will play DVD's without any extra hardware (uses the controller as a remote) The xbox requires an additional remote control for DVD.

Anyone have any news on the upcoming ps3 features?

Heres a list of the sports titles:

While I was looking through I saw at least 3 titles for fishing games, one that stood out to me was "Pro Fishing Challenge" it has multiplayer for up to 8 anglers to compete in tournament style

theres a full review here:
