SW Lures
Does anybody know where I can find these baits? The brand name is Mystic. Sorry for the flip flop pic. A friend of mine is very interested in these baits. I am thinking about starting to get into soft plastic making if we can't find them. I believe that I can sell them at a pretty good clip. Which brings me to my second question. If you were going to make one piece pour for 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4" molds, what would you use for the mold material? I'm thinking of making multi pours at one time. The plastic is very soft, but I believe this gives it the action they have. The draw back is the break down quickly under strikes. The details are painted. There is a gill plate and raised eyes. Thanks, Dale
edgecrusher
They to me look a lot like "sassy shads" which are mass produced by d & j plastics and sold via every man and his dog under their own brands? I could be wrong but the body shape looks very similar.

SW Lures
Thanks, we tried to find them but we found that the company went out of business. Maybe Mystic sold the rights to these. We use them for large pan fish but have caught some really nice fish. Stripers, smallies mainly. It would be easy to make as many masters as I need. I may change the tail design and test a prototype. These do have a nice action tho. I'll use PoP for the prototype, I believe I may need to make silicone molds. I have never messed with silicone. walleyeking
We call them sassy shads here too. They are made by the 100s of thousands for sure. If your looking for molds pretty close Do-it has all those sizes in essential series molds pretty cheap. They are sand cast but by painting the cavities with high temp engine paint you can make them fairly smooth.

The above will provide you pretty much all you know to get your home brews up and in production.
